Key Stage 2...
Key Stage 2 is the period beginning at the same time as the school year in which your child enters Year 3. They remain in Key Stage 2 until they move to their secondary school.
During this key stage the children further develop their skills in all areas of the National Curriculum as well as learning French. During Year 4 all pupils have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument.
We aim to develop our older pupils sense of responsibility and community spirit by encouraging them to become play leaders, house captains, sports team captains and school monitors.
School Council
Pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 elect two representatives for their class to join the School Council who meet at a "working lunch" each week with a senior teacher to discuss school issues. They are currently leading the school in achieving the Silver Eco-schools award. They also have input into the School Development Plan.
